KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — Rex Adam Folkerts passed away unexpectedly in a moped accident on June 13. He was 52 years old. Folkerts was born on July 26, 1972, in Milford, Del., to Terry and Janet Folkerts. He started his business in 1999 as Rex’s Furniture Repair and later on changed names of his company to Furniture Network, Furniture Pro Solutions and then Furniture Solutions Network.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Christian G. Plasman died on Wednesday, June 18, succumbing to illness after a multi-year struggle. He was 79 years old. Plasman’s career in home and office furniture was long and successful. After graduation from Hope College and five years as a captain in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, he began his furniture career in product marketing with office furniture manufacturer Herman Miller.
