SARASOTA, Fla. — Telescope Casual Furniture sales representative Robert (Bob) Lee Swan passed away on March 27. He was 88. Born in Memphis on Nov. 21, 1936, Swan and his family moved to Jackson, Miss., where he graduated from high school and went on to serve in the U.S. Marines. He went on to earn a degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi. Swan began working as a sales representative for Telescope, and his client base grew to include Burdines department store.

CORSICANA, Texas — Corsicana Mattress has added two industry veterans to its leadership team: Colin Blackmon and Terry Johnson. Blackmon, a former Ashley sales executive with more than three decades of bedding and furniture experience, has been appointed executive vice president of sales and marketing. Besides Ashley, Blackmon also worked at Simmons and Kingsdown, as well as an earlier stint at Corsicana. In late 2024, Corsicana hired Johnson as vice president of logistics.
