WAYNESVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — More than graffiti is appearing on the bathroom stalls of Waynesville businesses, someone is writing bomb threats. The threats have appeared multiple times with many impacts, and each time, police are taking them seriously. Waynesville Police Chief David Adams said the series of bomb threats in Waynesville this month alone is up to eight, all with a similar MO. It all started on April 1 at Walmart and again at Walmart ten days later, forcing evacuations.

WAYNESVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Waynesville town leaders have agreed to take another step toward cleaner energy. Town board members Jon Feichter and Chuck Dickson want staff to compile a request for proposal for installing solar panels on the Public Works and Waynesville Recreation buildings. The installation would come with a $750,000 price tag, but they say solar would save the town thousands in the long run in electricity costs.
