A man was shot and killed Wednesday outside a police station in Saratoga County, where he fired at New York State Police troopers and into the barracks. Members of the Rochester Police Department's scuba unit pulled the body of a man from the Genesee River in downtown Rochester on Wednesday afternoon. Officers were called to the river, near the Andrews Street bridge, around 1:45 p.m., where it was reported that a male was in the water, said Capt. Greg Bello of the Rochester Police Department. The male apparently was in the river, went underwater and did not resurface, he said.
