Presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s wax figures have been returned to Madame Tussauds Blackpool after undergoing a transformation. Originally unveiled in 2016, the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! presenter’s figures were taken away for a makeover in September and are now back on display at the Promenade attraction. The Geordie duo, popularly known as Ant & Dec, sat for the revamp of their wax figures, which have been updated with a current, up-to-date look.

A roller skating group has hit out at Falkirk Council’s decision to ban the sport from all of its schools. Skating club Falkirk Wheelers say the decision has meant axing its programme ‘Skates4Schools’, which saw the group’s volunteers working with schools across the district to introduce the sport to young people. The council, and the private companies that manage school facilities, banned roller skating from all Falkirk schools last year, saying it is too expensive to maintain the flooring.

One person has been airlifted to hospital and two others were rescued after the group was caught in a strong rip current in East Lothian. The UK Coastguard paged the Dunbar RNLI team to an initial report of two people in the water at 2.40pm on Saturday after getting into difficulty at Tyninghame Beach. Upon arrival at the scene around 3.05pm, it was discovered three people had been helped from the water by a local experienced surfer.

A man who died following a three-vehicle crash on the A862 near Beauly has been named. Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision, which involved a black Mazda CX5 car and two Yamaha MT07 motorcycles, around 11am on May 17. One of the motorcyclists was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where he died three days later on May 20. He has now been named as Gilbert Duncan from the Avoch area. His family has asked for their privacy to be respected.

The A9 has been closed in both directions in Tain after a woman was struck by a car. The collision occurred around 12.10pm at the busy road’s junction with Craighill Terrace on Sunday afternoon. Emergency services are in attendance and diversions have been put in place. Drivers have been urged to avoid the area.
