I am beyond impressed with Poison Ivy/Swamp Things: Feral Trees. Being more in line with the stylings of a horror comic than a superhero tale, the title certainly fits the genre. G. Willow Wilson’s writing, and the visuals by Mike Perkins and Mike Spicer pulled me right into that spooky feeling. Eerie murderous woods? Sign me up. It’s an ideal setting for those who are fans of the macabre. It was refreshing reading something a bit darker than what I usually read.

Harley Quinn #44 by Elliott Kalan, Mindy Lee, and Tríona Farrell was definitely my most anticipated issue of DC’s All-In initiative to get my hands on. Of course, if you know me, Harley is my lifeline, a character that I deeply care for. First, if you haven’t been keeping up with Harley’s adventures, you may not know that, for a while now, she has been pushing more toward being a hero rather than the classic villain she was in her debut.

Catwoman #69 sees a new team taking over from Tini Howard’s squad for DC’s All In initiative. And what a memorable issue to start on. No, I’m not talking about the issue number – get your head out of the gutter. The issue itself has stuck with me since I read it.

Okay, I’m back for another All In review! Now, this one will be interesting because, admittedly, I have not read a single drop of any Titans books since my last Titans review, which was Titans: Beast World – and we all remember that nightmare fuel. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Titans characters, I really do, and I never had any particular disdain towards the comics.

I’m back for Wonder Woman #14, the DC All-In jumping-on point issue from Tom King and Daniel Sampere! This character has really prevailed through so much over the years, the girl needs a damn break. We get it, she’s THE Wonder Woman, but gods, let the woman breathe. In a bittersweet, messed-up way; this All-In issue kind of does that? To start, I’ve always respected Wonder Woman’s character and run mainly for the accurate reference to Greek Gods and mythology. I get carried away with myself.
