    MONTGOMERY – The Barr-Reeve Viking golf team posted an impressive win in the 9-hole Blue Chip Preview on Thursday at Country Oaks. The match featured the teams that will also play an 18-hole match on Saturday for the conference and all-conference titles. B-R shot a 151, with everyone on the team shooting 40 or below. The match was won by Viking freshman Lincoln Miller with a -1, 35.

    For Washington Hatchet Colton Stowers, his decision on playing college basketball might have a familiar feel – or should we say family feel to it. Stowers officially signed his letter of intent to play basketball at Wabash College in the Hatchet House on Friday. Wabash is also a place where his former high school coach and grandfather Gene Miiller played in the 1970s and was recently inducted into the Wabash Hall of Fame.

Nathan Gabhart, who is currently president of the county commissioners says he feels three times is enough. “Personally, I think eight to 12 years in office should be the limit. What you are going to get done, you are going to get done in that amount of time. It’s been good. I am not a politician. I got into it to make Daviess County better.
