One of those survivors is credit union employee Amy Downs, or Amy Petty as she was known then. "I could hear all the screaming and feel that powerful roaring and falling, and knowing this is bad," Downs said. "I didn't know what it was. I thought maybe I was shot in the back of the head or something. But I didn't know, I just knew whatever it was, my life was over.
