Cutting out waste and making your state government more efficient are a priority for Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt. He even created a new state office- DOGE-OK. But that's hardly the first or only agency tasked with making sure your tax dollars are being spent properly. While 168 people were killed in the Murrah federal building bombing, more than 600 people survived and came out alive. One of those survivors is credit union employee Amy Downs, or Amy Petty as she was known then. "I could hear all the screaming and feel that powerful roaring and falling, and knowing this is bad," Downs said. "I didn't know what it was. I thought maybe I was shot in the back of the head or something. But I didn't know, I just knew whatever it was, my life was over.
