1 INTRODUCTION The alpine grasslands are mainly distributed in high latitude and altitude regions globally (Scholtz & Twidwell, 2022), garnering significant attention in ecosystem functionality, climate change responses, and grassland utilization management (Dong et al., 2020; Filippa et al., 2022; Rossi et al., 2020). Vegetation in alpine grasslands is sensitive to both natural and human impacts.

AbstractPhotocatalysis can effectively degrade emerging (micro)pollutants in wastewater and achieve advanced water treatment objectives, wherein the low solar energy conversion efficiency remains a challenge. One key determinant is the effective adsorption of micropollutants, which is challenging to define, especially for photocatalysts with surface heterogeneity over different length scales and under (non-)reactive conditions.
