The Denver Nuggets did it again. After robbing the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 earlier this week, Game 3 at Ball Arena on Friday night had a similar vibe. The Nuggets were down 102-99 when Aaron Gordon hit a corner three-pointer. Sound familiar? Just like he won Game 1 with his heroics, Gordon tied the game and it eventually went to OT. Denver took control in overtime, outscoring OKC 11-2 and sending downtown Denver into a frenzy.

Former University of Colorado football star Travis Hunter got his degree on Thursday. Two weeks after he was drafted into the NFL with the No. 2 overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars. It’s an awesome way for Hunter to close his career out in Boulder, earning a diploma with thousands of his classmates. Fittingly enough, the graduation ceremony was at Folsom Field, where Hunter did magical things as a football player.

Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix was sixth in the NFL in touchdown passes a season ago with 29. He was 12th in the league in yards, throwing for nearly 3,800 of them. And he did both of those things as a rookie. Nix also led the Broncos to the playoffs for the first time since 2015 with a 10-7 record. Yes, Denver’s defense had a great year, but Nix is clearly the team’s best quarterback since Peyton Manning called it a career.

Colorado Avalanche president Joe Sakic is disappointed this season is already over. How could he not be? The Avs choked in Game 7 against the Dallas Stars, blowing a 2-0 third period lead, and now will have to wait until this time next year for another shot at a Stanley Cup. And Sakic isn’t focused on Mikko Rantanen, who scored a third period hat trick for the Stars in the series deciding game, he’s focused on his team.

The Denver Nuggets stunned the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night. What a cool win in a series the Nuggets were massive underdogs. With Denver down 119-118 in the final moments, Aaron Gordon decided to be a hero. He buried a three-pointer to put the Nuggets ahead 121-119 and they stole Game 1 in Oklahoma City. This was a theft by the Nuggets, there’s no other way to slice it.

I seriously might mute this. There is SO much enthusiasm from Mark Jones every time the Thunder do something well or something bad happens against the Nuggets. Jamal Murray scores an impossible two and the call was 😴 “and a response from Murray.” 😴

The refs stink and we have to listen to Mark Jones be gleeful every time the Thunder score. This is going to be a longggg night for Nuggets fans.

It’s 8:14 in Denver. The Cavs are up 24 on the Pacers and we still don’t know when and what network Nuggets and Thunder is starting on. Do better, NBA.
