Talented wide receiver Keenan Allen is still somehow a free agent. The Denver Broncos should be on the phone with his agent right now. Just last week Pro Football Focus ranked the Broncos’ receiving corps as the 22nd best in the NFL. Adding a proven veteran like Allen would instantly move them up at least five spots. The long-time member of the Chargers is looking for a new home and this is the perfect moment to get something done.

The Colorado Rockies fired manager Bud Black last month after the team got off to a horrendous 7-33 start. Black, who had guided the club since 2017, compiled a career 544-690 record before being let go. The Rockies promoted Warren Schaeffer to interim manager and have been playing better baseball of late, although the bar is still extremely low. Colorado is 11-27 under Schaeffer’s watch, but a respectable 9-10 over their last 19 games.

But there was a note a little ways down in Charania’s article that will catch the attention of Nuggets fans.

The Denver Broncos have many talented players on their roster. This is the first time in several years that statement can be made with a straight face. Sure, even in the down years after Peyton Manning retired the Broncos had some stud athletes, but the results speak for themselves. Denver suffered seven losing seasons in a row from 2017-2023 and hadn’t made the playoffs since 2015.

The Denver Nuggets traded Gary Harris in March of 2021 and it worked out great. Harris was beloved by the fans in the Mile High City, but adding Aaron Gordon was one of the best trades in Nuggets history. Gordon went on to become a key piece of Denver’s first ever championship team in 2023, while Harris was fine for the Orlando Magic but never really found his groove in terms of being what that franchise probably wanted out him.
