A snap strike lasting just five minutes early Thursday morning has thrown Sydney’s rail network into disarray, causing widespread delays across all train lines. A police operation has forced the closure of all lanes on the M4 Motorway in Sydney’s west on Friday morning. Police were called to the M4 Motorway in Merrylands shortly before 5.30am following reports of a concern for welfare. Officers set up an operation, closing all lanes between Burnett St and Cumberland Hwy on the motorway. “Avoid the area, use an alternative route and allow extra travel time,” Live Traffic Sydney said on X.
