1 Introduction Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a chronic autoimmune disorder of the nervous system characterized by recurring episodes of weakness and fatigue, primarily affecting skeletal muscles throughout the body, including the extraocular muscles (Hong et al. 2017). The prevalence of MG is approximately 150-250 cases per million, with an annual incidence rate of around 4-10 cases per million. Notably, the incidence of MG is currently on the rise (Heldal et al. 2009, Carr et al. 2010).
