The Bears will open the 2025-26 season against Duke at the Adidas Arena in Paris, France, as part of the Oui-Play Paris doubleheader on Nov. 3, the Complete Sports Management sports agency announced on Thursday. “Being chosen to open the season in an iconic city like Paris is an incredible honor for our university and our team,” Baylor head coach Nicki Collen said in a release.

    As an up-and-coming young defensive-minded coach, Carson Hall always heard about the defensive schemes Baylor head coach Dave Aranda drew up. Hall was a defensive lineman at Georgia at the same time Aranda was the defensive coordinator at LSU. He then spent the spring of 2021 as a graduate assistant coach working with the defensive line with the Tigers in Baton Rouge, one season after Aranda left to become the head coach at Baylor.

    Baylor senior infielder Shaylon Govan capped off a successful academic and athletic season, earning College Sports Communicators Second Team Academic All-America accolades on Tuesday. After picking up Academic All-American honors last year, Govan becomes the fourth player in Baylor softball history to receive the accolade twice and is one of four repeat selections on CSC's DI academic softball team. Govan has a 3.79 GPA in her community health science master’s degree program.
