JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was shot and killed by a Jacksonville sheriff's officer after a police chief said he pounded on the officer's car and attacked him on the city's Westside Sunday morning. That man has been identified as 39-year-old Michael Lee Wright. A JSO chief said Wright's girlfriend reached out to ask for a police escort to get some of her stuff out of their house because she didn't feel safe.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — The Travis Hunter hype has made its way out to Jacksonville Beach. Sports Mania Owner Mathew Smith says the Jaguars first round splash was ideal for him both as a fan, and as a business owner. Fans came in throughout the day Friday asking about Travis Hunter jerseys, and Smith is hoping to have them by the middle of next week. "I placed an order on the jerseys and I dropped $30,000 on Travis Hunter in less than 10 minutes," Smith said.

ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. — Atlantic Beach's Red Hut has seen its fair share of pinewood derby races through the decades, as one scoutmaster says thousands of scouts have come through Troop 37. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An eyesore for decades in the Mayport area is getting a new purpose. City of Jacksonville crews started work on a new park on Mayport Road that will connect it to Hanna Park. It comes at the perfect time for one couple who was out for a bike ride Saturday at Hanna Park. "This was a celebratory trip for us, getting back to what we did before cancer," Dion Thomas said. Thomas says his wife just completed her last radiation treatment and got her cancer free diagnosis.
