This year, it is happening at a brand new location — the Gene Leahy Mall. 3 News Now's Zach Williamson will serve as the emcee this year. He met with American Heart Association Nebraska Communications and Marketing Director Shannon Hilaire ahead of the annual fundraiser to give us an idea of what to expect and how we can make a difference.

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — In this edition of the Morning Lift 3 News Now's Zach Williamson heads to our north Omaha neighborhood to pick up CHI Health Immanuel President Anthony Ashby. Ashby is originally from Baltimore. He has lived in Omaha and been with CHI Health Immanuel for about six years and is closing in on six months as the hospital's president. He says his family has fallen in love with Omaha and the community. His daughter, who is almost one year old, was born at CHI Health Immanuel.

MINDEN, Iowa (KMTV) — Minden, a small southwest Iowa town home to approximately 600 people, was one of the hardest hit by the April 26th tornadoes. About half the town’s homes were destroyed, and one person lost their life. 3 News Now's Zach Williamson was there the next morning, and visited the town again one year later, where he found it continues to come back bigger and better. Homeowners tell us building back was never a question.

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — In this edition of the Morning Lift, Omaha Airport Authority Chief Strategy Officer Steve McCoy joins 3 News Now's Zach Williamson to talk about all the renovations taking place at Eppley Airfield. McCoy says around 550 to 600 contractors are working at the airport on any given day. One of the projects set to be completed later this spring is the Terminal Drive & Canopy Project.
