The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office says 51-year-old Tonya Frazier, of North Charleston, was pronounced dead on Sunday in the Intensive Care Unit at Trident Medical Center after injuries sustained at the scene of the crash.

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Law enforcement is continuing to investigate a deadly car-pedestrian crash in Dorchester County. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the incident happened at 6:58 Saturday morning on Dorchester Road near Middleton Road, about one mile west of Summerville. Officials say the person was hit in the roadway by an unknown car heading east and died at the scene. The car left the scene of the crash. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Deputies are investigating after a man was killed in a car-pedestrian accident. The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened on Dorchester Road Sunday morning. Deputies arrived to find one man dead at the scene. Eastbound Dorchester Road has been closed between Middleton Road and Tabby Lane as a result. The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday the new initiative on Saturday, aimed at providing the community with easily-accessible Narcan to reverse an overdose from opioids, such as heroin, fentanyl and prescription opioid medications.
