SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. – As the Happy Camp Complex winds down, an assessment is being done on the burn scar area. The U.S. Forest Service’s “burned area emergency response,” or BAER team, recently completed their assessment of the Happy Camp Complex in Siskiyou County. They’re job is to take a look at the vulnerability of the burned landscape to things like landslides from storm events. They also bring in specialists to determine other values at risk like animals, road infrastructure and fisheries.

VIDEO MEDFORD, Ore. – Rogue Retreat’s ‘Redwood Inn’ is getting closer to completion. We’re hearing from Rogue Retreat about what we can expect to see at the facility soon. The Redwood Inn has a total of 48 units. The downstairs has 23 units, with 21 of those will be used for what Rogue Retreat calls a ‘discharge medical respite program’. It will be dedicated for those who don’t have a safe place to recover when they leave a hospital.
