During the week of March 29, 2004, the El Paso Times ran a series titled "Great Streets." The series examined the five major thoroughfares in the city, Dyer Street, Alameda Avenue, Mesa Street, Lee Treviño Drive and Montana Avenue. The El Paso Times is featuring major El Paso streets that have been long-standing thoroughfares in the region. The streets, like our city, have seen many changes and have contributed to El Paso's history.
