While the U.S. is holding off on imposing 25% tariffs on Canada, a new poll shows Canadians are angered by U.S. President Donald Trump's threat of tariffs against Canada and his comments about making their nation the 51st U.S. state. Observers believe that once the U.S. tariffs are...

For the first time, the exact analytic integration of the product between the Kuraev-Fadin radiative function and the Born-level cross section has been achieved for e+e− annihilation near a narrow resonance. The analytic result is in a perfect agreement with the one obtained through direct numerical integration. The extraction of resonance parameters is demonstrated through the unfolding of the initial state radiation effect.

AbstractGlioblastoma (GBM) represents a primary malignant brain tumor. Temozolomide resistance is a major hurdle in GBM treatment. Proteins encoded by circular RNAs (circRNAs) can modulate the sensitivity of multiple tumor chemotherapies. However, the impact of circRNA-encoded proteins on GBM sensitivity to temozolomide remains unknown.

AbstractNon-invasive brain stimulation therapy for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has shown beneficial effects. Recently, we and others demonstrated that visual sensory stimulation using rhythmic 40 Hz light flicker effectively improved cognitive deficits in mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease and stroke. However, whether rhythmic visual 40 Hz light flicker stimulation can ameliorate behavioral deficits in ASD remains unknown.

The effect of liquid droplets generated from air-assisted atomization on gas flow characteristics was studied experimentally. A phase/Doppler particle analyzer was used to measure velocity and size distributions of continuous and dispersed phases in the droplet-laden two-phase flow. A comparison of mean gas velocity with and without droplets indicates the expected influence of dispersed phase on the carrier phase, i.e., two-way coupling.

Nanoporous graphene membranes with excellent ion and water filtration capabilities show great potential in applications, such as ion sieving and seawater desalination. However, one of the key challenges is to fabricate high-density, tunable subnanometer pores on two-dimensional membranes with high mechanical strength.
