    ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — On Friday, Hackett Blvd looked beautiful amid Spring weather. The only eye sore was the collection of craters in its pavement. Gregory Magee has lived here for 15 years. He says the pothole problem has been persistent since a water main break in 2014. He would like to see this issue in his rearview. “You’ll see along along that strip it’s pretty bad” said Magee. He’s talking about the area between Albany Academy and Saint Peter’s Hospital.

    GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) —  A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with arson in connection with the massive fire at the vacant Fownes Brothers Glove Factory. According to the fire city’s chief, Gloversville is no stranger to arson and abandoned buildings. “Just in the past year we’ve had three arsons and two of them have been arrested. So our police department is pretty aggressive. If you’re gonna set buildings on fire, chances are we’re probably gonna catch you” said Chief Tom Groff.

    TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — As the May 7 real ID deadline looms, officials say New York State residents are only at 40 percent compliance. The Rensselaer County DMV says it’s so overwhelmed that only county residents can be served. Rensselaer County Clerk Frank Merola says customer volume increases around its 8:30 a.m. opening and 4:00 p.m. closing time. The office is processing up to 150 real ID applications a day.
