TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Monday was the first day of a joint operation by public agencies in Troy to help improve the city’s quality of life. The program is called Operation Refresh, it aims to beautify Troy’s streets. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A public hearing was held on Wednesday over drinking hours in Saratoga County. The Law and Finance Committee approved the “Last Call” legislation to be moved forward to a full vote later this month. Public Safety Commissioner Tim Coll says police use-of-force incidents in bar filled area of Caroline Street — nicknamed “The Gut” — are frequent. “55% of those use of force incidents happen after 2 AM” said Coll.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — On Thursday, Saratoga County officials announced that alternative rock band Gin Blossoms will kick off the Belmont on Broadway festival with a concert on June 4. Officials also began safety preparations for the event, which is expected to draw large crowds. In 2024, Belmont provided a $370 million economic boom for local businesses. The manager of Garvey Volkswagen-Kia in Queensbury says that if the Trump administration’s 25 percent tariffs on automobiles takes effect it could particularly drive up the prices of foreign brands like the cars in his lot.
