AbstractAptamers are single-stranded nucleic acid ligands, featuring high affinity and specificity to target molecules. Traditionally they are identified from large DNA/RNA libraries using in vitro methods, like Systematic Evolution of Ligands by Exponential Enrichment (SELEX). However, these libraries capture only a small fraction of theoretical sequence space, and various aptamer candidates are constrained by actual sequencing capabilities from the experiment.

Zwitterionic organocatalysis for ring-opening polymerization of cyclic esters
Zwitterionic catalysis was powerful in simultaneously activating electrophile and nucleophile in organic transformations, however, its potential in polymerizations was untapped. Herein, a zwitterionic catalytic model for ring-opening polymerization (ROP) was introduced and a series quaternary ammonium carboxylate zwitterionic catalysts were designed and evaluated in ROPs of cyclic esters.

AbstractIn situ profiling of subcellular proteomics in primary living systems, such as native tissues or clinic samples, is crucial for understanding life processes and diseases, yet challenging due to methodological obstacles. Here we report CAT-S, a bioorthogonal photocatalytic chemistry-enabled proximity labeling method, that expands proximity labeling to a wide range of primary living samples for in situ profiling of mitochondrial proteomes.

This interest later spreads to other triangulated categories, and an important viewpoint is that a nice enough triangulated category can be regarded as (the derived category of) a noncommutative variety. Among these triangulated categories, the Kuznetsov component A Y $\mathcal {A}_Y$ of a (smooth complex) cubic threefold Y is one of the most studied ones.
