A SCOTS firm has plunged into administration after 150 years - with dozens of jobs lost. Dovetail Enterprises in Dundee is one of the oldest furniture and mattress manufacturers in Scotland. The charity provides employment and training opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged members of the community. But the organisation slipped into administration despite £1million of support from the Scottish Government. The move saw 47 of its employees made redundant, reports The Courier.

A total of 44 jobs depend on the centre remaining openA POPULAR Scots ice rink is being forced to crowd fund to stay open as it battles rising energy costs. Inverness Ice Centre has seen its bills increase from £12,000 to £30,000 a month. The centre is looking at ways of reducing the cost such as installing solar panels on the building's roof. Another suggestion was to sell a neighbouring property but this has been stalled for now.
