An afternoon tea celebrating VE Day at Rilla Mill Village Hall was enjoyed be all (Zena Jones)THERE were celebrations galore across Linkinhorne recently for the VE Day 80th anniversary with the whole community pulling together for a variety of events. On Saturday, May 10, Rilla Mill celebrated with afternoon tea from 2pm to 4.30pm in the village hall, with tasty savoury items and as always the mouth watering variety of cakes.

Cllr Adam Paynter, nominated Lib Dem leader Cllr Leigh Frost at this morning’s meeting (May 20), during his nomination, Cllr Paynter cited Cllr Frost’s experience. Cllr Thalia Marrington seconded the nomination, stating that a ‘strong and stable’ council is needed in Cornwall.
