60 Minutes is a well-known American newsmagazine show aired on the CBS network. It first launched in 1968, created by Don Hewitt, who designed it to stand out from other news shows through a distinctive focus on reporter-led investigations. In 2002, it earned the #6 spot on TV Guide's list of the 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time, and in 2013, it was ranked #24 on their list of the 60 Best Series of All Time. The New York Times has referred to it as "one of the most respected news magazines on American television."

    Around 8:10 Wednesday morning, fire crews were informed about a fire at a home on Gunpowder Drive from a 911 call made by neighbors. Fire officials arrived within minutes, and discovered that the left side of the home, including the roof, was engulfed in flames. Neighbors told firefighters that they believed two people were inside the house. Crews entered the home, found one victim near the front door, and brought him outside for medical treatment.

    In a letter to Baltimore County Executive Klausmeir,  Baltimore County councilman Izzy Patoka defended the county's inspector general after she was reportedly told that she would not be reappointed. On Tuesday, Baltimore County Inspector General Kelly Madigan said she was advised that the would not be appointed by the county executive's office, and was advised to reapply for the position. In the letter, Patoka says he was "extremely concerned" about the decision.
