BBC One

BBC One is the primary television channel of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) serving audiences in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man, and Channel Islands. It made its debut on November 2, 1936, originally called the BBC Television Service, and holds the distinction of being the first regular television service in the world with high image quality. In 1960, it was renamed BBC TV and continued under that name until the introduction of BBC2 in 1964. Afterward, the channel was referred to as BBC1, and it officially adopted the spelling BBC One in 1997.
