The journey began in 2013 with a collection of tweets, which gained significant traction and led to the launch of a newsletter in 2015. By 2016, the website was established, and since then, BoiseDev has become the go-to source for development news in the greater Boise area. It features a blend of in-depth articles, quick updates, and a comprehensive Project Tracker. Since 2018, it has been recognized as the leading business news outlet in the state, according to SimilarWeb. BoiseDev's reporting has been featured by major outlets such as CNBC, People Magazine, Fox News, and many others, including local news stations and publications. Our business model has been highlighted by journalism.co.uk and Harvard University's Nieman Lab. We also foster an engaged community through an active Facebook group, where readers contribute to shaping stories and ideas. The site operates on a mix of limited advertising and a membership program called BoiseDev FIRST.
