    The Ventnor branch of the Atlantic County Library System will be closed through June 30, the county announced Monday. But it could be longer than that, Ventnor Commissioner of Public Works Lance Landgraf said. The library branch closed its doors at 5:30 p.m. last Thursday, and remained closed through the weekend but more time is needed to address HVAC issues. The chiller needs to be replaced for the second timed since Landgraf first took office in 2016, he said.

    Hamilton Township police are looking for a registered  sex offender who allegedly committed a lewd incident outside the Hamilton Mall on Friday. Qushine Tolbert, 36, is being sought on a lewdness charge. His Megan's Law page lists him as living in Chiari Lane in Bridgeton and registered as having a black Chevy Impala, which police confirmed is the vehicle he was seen in.

    Ralph Hunter has made it his mission to preserve the history of Atlantic City. In doing so, he himself is wove into the fabric of the city's history. He founded the African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey with locations in Atlantic City and Newtonville. Last year, a mural by artist Heather Deegan Hires made sure Hunter has a special spot as part of a mural unveiled behind the Cooper Levenson Office Building.

    A handyman is in jail he allegedly stole from the Brigantine home where he was working last summer. Jeremy Gruber, 42, of Vineland, also faces charges out of Hammonton and Longport, court records show. The investigation began last summer, when Brigantine police were called to a home on 26th Street on Aug. 6, for theft of jewelry, handbags and a large sum of cash, according to police. The resident said a neighbor recommended Gruber for handyman work earlier in the year.

    Hamilton Township police are investigating a lewd incident outside the Hamilton Mall on Friday. A woman posted anonymously on Facebook via the Scan Atlantic City page to make others aware. "As I was approaching my car, I noticed a man in his car parked next to mine with his window down," she wrote. She then detailed how he had his phone filming her while he was sexually gratifying himself. "I was completely shocked and went into panic mode," the woman wrote.
