In that time it has sold more than three million, through a mere three generations. Now in 2025 we get a fourth-generation Master, on offer with a choice of diesel or fully electric powertrains and also available as the Interstar from sister brand Nissan.

Rushlift, a materials handling equipment specialist, has taken delivery of 55 Volkswagen Crafters, which have been fitted with a bespoke configuration. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has fitted each of the Crafters with a 350 watt inverter, specialised racking, and a workbench, allowing Rushlift’s Field Service Engineers to support customers.

Telematics software provider Wialon is set to integrate with Fleetio, a fleet maintenance software provider, giving fleets access to deeper data insights. Customers of both platforms will no longer need to manually enter vehicle information into Fleetio, and will be able to use Wialon’s diagnostics data to schedule maintenance directly in Fleetio. Fleets will also be able to control expenses by viewing fuel data directly in Fleetio.

The UK’s light commercial vehicle (LCV) market fell by -11.8% in May, with just 22,796 new vans, 4x4s and pick-ups registered, according to figures released today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). The data marked the sixth consecutive month of contraction and the lowest May performance since 2022, as fragile business confidence continues to suppress fleet investment. Registrations declined across all major van segments.
