The thing about a break is that you don't have to work. That's kind of the very definition of a break. You get a couple of minutes where you don't have to think about your job. Your responsibilities are on hold, you're not needed, and you can think about something else. Plus, you can do anything you want on a break. Maybe you'll just use it to eat lunch, but heck, you could go jump rope in the park for 30 minutes if you wanted to. You could work on your novel.

If you've ever lived with a cat, you know they do not believe in sleeping in. Ever. Especially when it's breakfast time. Every morning like clockwork, they're pacing, yelling, and making it seem like you've starved them for days (even though they'd never let you get close even remotely skipping a meal). I used to have a cat that would actually swat me in the face if I dared sleep past 8 am. No hesitation.

It’s hard to explain to anyone who grew up in the streaming age, but back then, the movie was only half the experience. The other half? Commentary tracks from directors, actors, even stunt coordinators. Bloopers that revealed just how much fun the cast had. Deleted scenes with optional commentary. Production diaries, animatics, wardrobe tests, prop builds. All of it tucked away on a second disc like cinematic treasure. And no movie ever did this better than The Lord of the Rings extended editions.
