Westboro Beach has been closed partially since 2022 for a revitalization plan that included accessibility designs and a zero-carbon pavilion. Located at 745 Kichi Zībī Mīkan, the beach area gives people a new way to enjoy the Ottawa River. The year-round restaurant is open 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., a seasonal cafe and lots of riverfront lookouts.

A victim is recovering after being attacked by two people at an O-Train station last month. Police are looking for a man and a woman who punched a person "repeatedly" and stole his bike and jewelry he had just bought. Officials say the victim got on Line 1 at St-Laurent Station and exited at Pimisi Station, where the assault took place on May 20. The victim was sent to hospital after the altercation. The first suspect is a woman described as 5'6″ with an average build.

To avoid the flames, a resident of the home in Constance Bay jumped from a balcony of the second storey. Firefighters described a fast-moving fire after multiple 911 calls to their communications division reported a blaze that had trapped a person on the second floor of the home. At 10:30 p.m., crews responded to the 100 block of Charmont Way, along the Ottawa River, and found the front of a home fully engulfed with billowing smoke.

The start of June was marked by unusually cooler weather, with people still donning long sleeves and pants in the city.
