Dinakaran
Dinakaran is a Tamil-language daily newspaper that is circulated throughout India. Established in 1977 by K. P. Kandasamy, it is now part of the Sun Network, a prominent media company. As the second most widely read Tamil daily in India, following Dina Thanthi, Dinakaran is printed in 12 different cities across the country. The newspaper was created when K. P. Kandasamy parted ways with Dina Thanthi, which was owned by his father-in-law, S. P. Adithanar, during a split in the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. In 2005, Kalanithi Maran's Sun Network acquired Dinakaran from K. P. K. Kumaran.
