(EYT) – “Phil Deets is not the problem,” said Clarion County Commissioner Wayne Brosius on Tuesday morning after the former CEO of Deets Mechanical was hired as a part-time temporary maintenance helper. His role is to help get the stalled courthouse HVAC renovation back on track. A 2-1 vote approved the hiring for the $45-an-hour position, with Commissioners Ted Tharan and Brosius voting yes and Braxton White voting no.

    KNOX, Pa. (EYT) — Kord Stewart hit a two-run, two-out walk-off single as the Keystone baseball team downed Clarion-Limestone, 4-3, on Monday afternoon. Keystone opened the bottom of the seventh with two quick groundouts, but Weckerly singled, Drew Keth walked before Stewart lashed an 0-2 pitch to left to score both Isaac Weckerly and Keth for the victory. Keth picked up the win on the mound. He went all seven, giving up three runs (one earned) on seven hits. He struck out six and walked two.
