SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. (EYT) — Madison Foringer set a new Clarion University record in the Hammer Throw on Thursday, leading the Golden Eagles at the John Papa Invitational. According to the university, Foringer’s mark of 46.92 meters broke her previous record by nearly two meters and moved her into sixth place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rankings for the event this season. She placed seventh overall, and third among non-Division I competitors.

DANVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — The PennWest University Clarion women’s golf team placed fifth at the Husky Spring Invitational on Thursday, posting a team score of 363 at Frosty Valley Golf Course. According to tournament results provided by Bloomsburg University, Hailee Liptak led the Golden Eagles with a round of 89, tying for 10th out of 67 competitors. She recorded par on eight holes and carded a 45 on the front nine and 44 on the back.
