(EYT) — The Fryburg Sportsman’s Club will host the 16th annual Camo Cares event on Saturday, June 21, bringing together families, outdoor enthusiasts, and supporters to raise funds for children with life-threatening illnesses and disabilities, as well as wounded veterans. According to organizers, the event will again be held at the Fryburg Sportsman’s Club Farm. All proceeds will fund dream hunting trips for children and veterans.

FALLS CREEK, Pa. (EYT) – A Falls Creek woman is facing felony assault charges after allegedly beating a man during an interrogation about his former neighbor, according to DuBois-based State Police. Amy Jo Shephard, 56, was charged following an investigation by Trooper Michael D’Andrea, of DuBois PSP. According to the criminal complaint, the assault occurred between May 29 and May 30 at the victim’s residence in Falls Creek Borough, Jefferson County.

The celebration coincided with the 30th annual Delaware River Sojourn and featured paddling events, live music, educational displays, and outdoor activities.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (EYT) — A Curwensville man admitted in federal court to possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, a charge that carries a potential life sentence, according to Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti. Federal prosecutors said Jason Lentz, 31, admitted to possessing at least 50 grams of methamphetamine in January 2024 within the Western District of Pennsylvania. The plea was entered before United States District Judge Stephanie L. Haines on June 17.
