SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — A 61-year-old Shippenville man was cited for failing to stop at a red light following a crash that occurred Sunday evening at the intersection of Main Street and North School Street, according to Pennsylvania State Police in Clarion. Police said the crash happened around 5:52 p.m. on June 1 when Donald J. Ceranski was traveling west on Main Street in a 2017 Dodge Caravan and failed to stop at a steady red signal.

State police responded to multiple incidents across Jefferson and Clearfield counties in late May, including three arrests for suspected DUI involving controlled substances. On May 31, troopers from the DuBois patrol unit arrested a 45-year-old Penfield man in Huston Township after EMS requested assistance with a male passed out in a vehicle at a convenience store parking lot. The man showed signs of impairment and was found with a glass pipe containing burnt drug residue.
