KNOX, Pa. (EYT) – Chris Braun, a 2015 grad of Keystone High School, was lifting with his comrades in the Saudi Arabian desert as they joked and carried on in the Summer of 2022. A moment of inspiration called itself out to Braun, or maybe the 120-degree heat was getting to him, but regardless he told his friends in that desert about his idea.

On October 24, 2023, F. Craig McCurdy, age 76, went to be with the Lord, leaving behind a testimony of strong faith and deep love. “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8. Craig was born January 3, 1947, in Titusville, Pennsylvania, son of Richard McCurdy and Jean Meddock/McCurdy of Titusville. In 1955 he moved to Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia, where his father worked for Saudi Aramco Oil Company.

Francis “Frank” A. Greenawalt, 62, of Mayport, passed away early Saturday morning, October 28, 2023 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 17, 1961 in Philadelphia; son of the late Francis A. Greenawalt and Bernadette T. Reinsel Greenawalt Lucas. Frank was a 1980 graduate of Redbank High School. He took over the family business, Rice Equipment, Inc., in 2011, where he was owner and operator until he retired.

Harvey E. Crusan, 70, of Franklin, passed away at his residence, surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Born in Franklin on September 20, 1953, he was the son of the late Raymond Crusan Sr. and Rosetta Mae Crusan. He was a 1971 graduate of Rocky Grove High School. Harvey enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. He loved his large family and he always looked forward to Sunday’s which were “open house” days for anyone to stop by and visit.

Walter L. “Walt” Guyda, III, 70, of West Middlesex, formerly of Oil City, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at The Grove at New Wilmington after an extended illness. Born October 15, 1953, in Oil City, he was a son of the late Walter and Shirley Harkless Guyda. After graduating from Oil City High School in the class of 1971, Walt went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Clarion State College.
