For Cleveland Browns fans, the phrase “Where’s the Tylenol?” may have been as popular as “Let’s go Brownies” this offseason. The Browns endured a 3-14 season in 2024 and immediately had to deal with Myles Garrett’s trade request. A contract worth $40 million annually wasn’t enough to stop the soap opera as the Browns took several flyers to figure out their quarterback situation. The Browns are hoping that the quarterback position can be neutralized with a strong defense and running game.

The Cleveland Browns wrapped up their OTAs and minicamp and are waiting to reconvene in July for training camp. In the meantime, the front office will make roster moves to get the team ready for the final stretch of the offseason. The quarterback mess in Cleveland is well-documented. On top of the $230 million elephant in the room named Deshaun Watson, the Browns have four quarterbacks on the roster and no clear hierarchy among them. Not being able to turn down the opportunity to draft Gabriel and Sanders is understandable.

Don't count on seeing this vet back in Cleveland next summer. As the majority of the NFL puts organized team activities (OTAs) and mandatory minicamp behind them, the Cleveland Browns still have work to do. The Browns' 2025 OTAs are still running through Thursday, giving head coach Kevin Stefanski more time to assess the 90-man roster's outlook before training camp begins next month. Whether they know it or not, the upcoming NFL season will be the final campaign certain players spend in Cleveland.

The Cleveland Browns and the majority of NFL teams have a few weeks off before returning for training camp in July. Several veteran free agents are looking to latch on to their new respective clubs for the 2025 season, including a former AFC North running back the Browns know well. Back on June 10, running back J.K. Dobbins signed with the Denver Broncos on a one-year, $5.25 million deal.
