Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee has rushed to the defence of Tommy Fleetwood by declaring his seven-foot putt for par "clearly hit something that caused it to dart right and miss" at the Travelers Championship. Fleetwood, 34, held a commanding three-shot lead entering the final round of the eighth and final $20m Signature Event of the PGA Tour season. Tommy Fleetwood admits he is "gutted" to have thrown away a golden chance to win a first PGA Tour title at the Travelers Championship. Fleetwood, 34, held a commanding three-shot lead heading into the final round of the final $20m Signature Event of the PGA Tour season at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut. Despite being briefly caught around the turn, Fleetwood edged back into a two-shot lead with birdies on 11 and 13.
