If the regular season ended today, the Broncos would own the seventh seed and travel North to face the Bills (13-3). The Broncos’ path to the postseason is straight-forward -- win or tie against the Chiefs and they’re in.

The Buccaneers slipped into the twilight zone following a Week 16 loss in Dallas. Winning out and relying on outside help was suddenly the only route to the postseason for a team that had once again been demoted to the outside looking in. The Bucs did their part on Sunday, delivering a thumping 48-14 win over the Panthers and temporarily sliding into first place in the NFC South.
