    Update: 5 p.m.  A resident in the area is praising firefighters for the quick action on a blaze north of Kelowna's airport. "A little bit of panic," Caroline Ivens told media when asked her initial response to hearing about the fire so close to home. "I got the dogs ready to go, got everything packed up." Only one house was damaged in the fire and at least two vehicles. Crews confirmed with a reporter on scene the fire has been knocked down.

    It's hard to believe that the "New Generation” of Riverdance performers coming to Vancouver weren't yet born when the show launched 30 years ago and became a global cultural sensation. From June 10-15 at Queen Elizabeth Theatre, the touring Riverdance 30 production celebrates the show’s 30th-year milestone with added choreography, costumes, lighting, projection, motion graphics and more.
