KSYZ-FM, known as "107.7 The Island," is a radio station that plays adult hits. It is based in Grand Island, Nebraska, and has been on air since 1982, catering to the Grand Island-Kearney region. When it started, the station focused on soft rock and pop music and was the only rock station broadcasting from Grand Island at that time. Although it operates on a frequency of 107.7 MHz, it was marketed as "FM 108" during its launch, with its format kept under wraps until the debut. On August 31, 2009, at noon, the station rebranded itself as 107.7 The Island, emphasizing its variety of real music. Currently, NRG Media owns the station.

GRAND ISLAND — A field of nine was drawn Thursday morning for the 66th running of the $75,000 Bosselman Pump and Pantry/Gus Fonner Stakes Saturday at Fonner Park. That field includes eight horses that have run at Fonner this year with just one ship-in, but the ship-in is a big one. The Japanese-bred Komorebino Omoide is trained by Roberto Diodoro and is a son of 2014 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner California Chrome. He’s also the morning-line favorite for the Bosselman at 6-5.

According to the GIPD, around 2:28 p.m., officers were dispatched to S. Vine St. for a domestic assault call. It was reported to the GIPD that Christian Jensen had been contacted at a residence under suspicion of having sexual relations with a minor.
