    Bismarck, N.D. – State government leaders say the recent hot, dry and windy weather touched off dozens of wildfires last weekend across North Dakota. The Department of Emergency Services says 60 fires started between May 10th and May 11th, burning 1,100 acres of land. 20 of those fires began on Sunday and burned in the western and central part of the state. One of the fires scorched 500 acres in Morton County. Another in Sheridan County destroyed 125 acres including a tractor.

According to unconfirmed scanner traffic, crews are blocking traffic near Center Ave. and 14th St. N due to the break. Our reporter noted large puddles on the road. Details are limited at this time, but expect some delays if you are traveling in that area.

    (MINNEAPOLIS, MINN) — Delta Airlines is cutting four flights from Minnesota-St. Paul International Airport. The route cuts involve daily flights from MSP to Albuquerque, New Mexico; Buffalo, New York; Fairbanks, Alaska; and Great Falls, Montana. Delta has confirmed that the Albuquerque route will end in November, while the other three will come to an end at the end of September.

    Fargo, N.D. – Fargo Public Schools is confirming the principal of Davies High School is resigning from his position. In a statement to Flag Family News, FPS says Troy Cody is leaving to “pursue a new career opportunity” outside of education. Cody, who was the school principal since 2012, says he’s becoming an investment advisor at GoalQuest Financial Group in Fargo. “My time at Davies has been the greatest honor of my career,” wrote Cody.
