Litchfield Park/Goodyear Independent

Litchfield Park is a welcoming community that prioritizes family and encourages walking, making it a favorite spot for both residents and visitors. The area is famous for the Wigwam Resort, a historic hotel that has been a staple of Arizona since its opening in 1929. The town hosts several popular annual events, including a Halloween Carnival, concerts on the Wigwam Resort's front lawn, Christmas in the Park, and an Arts Festival. Litchfield Park is also recognized for its lush green spaces and the two renowned golf courses located at the Wigwam Resort. As of the 2010 census, Litchfield Park had a population of 5,476. It is situated 20 miles west of Phoenix in the South Valley, conveniently close to Interstate 10. In the fall of 2018, the Litchfield Park Independent was established, providing monthly news to every mailbox in the city.
