Venture Global said its inaugural LNG export project – Calcasieu Pass – had begun selling US LNG to the project’s long-term customers. "Calcasieu Pass has reached this milestone in just 68 months from the final investment decision on the project, making it among the fastest greenfield LNG projects completed. CMB.Tech has agreed a deal for a newbuild 210,000-dwt vessel as part of  series of large dry bulk carriers currently on order at Qingdao Beihai Shipyard. The ship, on charter, is expected to be delivered to Fortescue by the end of 2026 and the companies said the vessel will ship iron ore from the Pilbara mining region in Australia to customers in China and elsewhere.

Autonomous surface vessel (ASV) developer Saronic Technologies reports it has acquired Gulf Craft, a Louisiana-based shipbuilder. The three-year-old Austin, Texas-based start-up said the acquisition of the Franklin, Louisiana, shipyard would “accelerate its growth into autonomous shipbuilding.” The company plans to use the shipyard as the prototyping and production hub for its medium unmanned surface vessel (MUSV) fleet, starting with Marauder, Saronic’s 46-m ASV.

Posting on professional social media networking platform LinkedIn, APM Terminals Senior Investments Manager Luuk de Gruijter claimed the fire began on a cargo deck carrying 60 electric vehicles and 40 conventional cars.
