This election covered a variety of local races for positions and seats on city councils, school boards, and other municipal offices, as well as a number of local measures. The certified election results within McDonald County follow:Among the 14,923 listed registered voters, 1,422 votes were cast. County voters favored a sales and use tax measure 863 to 530.

    MCDONALD COUNTY -- The MCHS varsity baseball team played the Monett Cubs head-to-head on Tuesday, April 8. The Mustangs hosted the game at the MCHS baseball field and lost 6-3. The Mustangs' start to the game was rocky, with two errors in the first inning. The Cubs, on the other hand, took a commanding lead in the first inning, scoring four runs, which carried them to victory. "You got to come out the first inning ready to go," said head coach Heath Alumbaugh.
