The Arkansas Times is a weekly alternative newspaper located in Little Rock, Arkansas, that has been in circulation for almost 40 years. Initially launched as a magazine, it transitioned to its current format in response to the acquisition of assets by the Arkansas Democrat following Gannett's closure of the Arkansas Gazette in 1991, which led to the creation of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

U.S. House Republicans on Sunday finally released their plans to cut Medicaid — the safety net program that provides health insurance to tens of millions of Americans and more than one in four Arkansans — as part of the catchall budget reconciliation bill the Trump administration hopes to push through Congress on a party-line vote in the coming months.
