The Arkansas Times is a weekly alternative newspaper located in Little Rock, Arkansas, that has been in circulation for almost 40 years. Initially launched as a magazine, it transitioned to its current format in response to the acquisition of assets by the Arkansas Democrat following Gannett's closure of the Arkansas Gazette in 1991, which led to the creation of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

    The head of the Lonoke School District will be the next superintendent of the Pulaski County Special School District after the board gave its unanimous approval to the hire yesterday. Jeff Senn, a former principal at Maumelle High School and North Pulaski High School, will be the head of the Pulaski County Special School District beginning on July 1. Senn received a three-year contract and will earn an annual salary of $274,500, according to a district press release.

Planning to board a flight or visit a federal building (or a nuclear facility) soon? Beginning May 7, you’ll need a Real ID to do it. After the first week of May, a regular driver’s license won’t be sufficient ID to board a commercial flight for anyone 18 or older. Adult flyers will need a Real ID, passport or other type of acceptable identification.

Fourteen tornadoes touched down in Arkansas on March 14 and 15, leaving three dead and dozens injured. The next week, Sanders asked President Donald Trump for a major disaster declaration, the first step in securing federal funds and other help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
