BENTONVILLE -- Two Missouri residents are each being held on $1 million bonds after being arrested in connection with a man's overdose death. Gage William Carl Hill, 22, of Seligman, Mo., and Jamie Walker, 40, of Cassville, Mo., were each recently arrested in connection with aggravated death by delivery, unlawful use of a communication device and criminal conspiracy.

ROGERS -- Two police officers were injured when a officer preparing to clean a firearm accidentally discharged the weapon, according to a press release from the Rogers Police Department. An officer was cleaning the gun Tuesday when it was accidentally fired and struck that same officer in the leg. The same round then struck another officer in the foot, according to the release.

BENTONVILLE -- Firefighters battled a blaze downtown April 9 on the roof of the under-construction Adult Recreation Center. Kevin Boydston, deputy fire chief, said the call came in at 2 p.m. after materials being staged on the roof caught fire. It made for an imposing fire on the roof of the building behind the Ledger on Main Street, Boydston said. "It was not a threat to the Ledger," he added. Boydston said it was difficult for firefighters to reach the fire.
