Lose your license and not drive, or drive with the device in your car that monitors your speed and keeps you from speeding. Washington is now the second state to adopt speed restricting Devices. The use of one of these devices would allow multiple speeding ticket offenders to get a special license that requires that they use this new technology to restrict how fast they can drive.

Wenatchee Valley Humane Society (WVHS) is reporting a rise in feline distemper cases in the Wenatchee area. According to a news release on Friday, Feline Panleukopenia is a viral disease that is contagious amongst cats but not to dogs or humans. Kittens under 6 months are the most susceptible to panleukopenia, but unvaccinated adult cats can also contract the virus. Symptoms include lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever.

Burn bans will take effect this weekend. Chelan, Douglas, and Grant counties are implementing burn bans this Sunday to combat wildfires this summer. The Chelan County Fire Marshal's Office says Chelan County will ban the burning of all yard debris, including leaves, brush and tree limbs. The ban will remain in effect until Oct. 1. Chelan County residents must not use exploding targets, incendiary ammo, or fireworks.

A young Lake Chelan resident died after an asthma attack and a GoFundMe campaign is nearing it's goal to support the family. 20 year old Oscar Jimenez suffered an asthma attack and suffered irreversible brain damage on May 19th. With no signs of brain activity, his parents, Catalina and Carlos Jimenez had to make the heart breaking decision to remove their son from life support. Oscar passed away surrounded by family and friends on May 21st.
