Niagara Falls Review

The Niagara Falls Review started its journey in 1873, thanks to founders William Henry Anger and James Edwin Anger, who officially launched the paper in 1879. Since the 1930s, it has been published every day, serving as the main news outlet for Niagara Falls and the surrounding areas, including Fort Erie and Niagara-on-the-Lake. For a long time, the paper was owned by Roy Thomson and played a significant role in the Thomson media group.

Say no to panhandling. Instead, support local charities such as Project Share and Niagara Falls Soup Kitchen. It’s dangerous for vehicles. Somebody is going to get killed,” said Mayor Jim Diodati.

And the store  hasn’t just offered a plethora of high-end products to scratch the itch of the most ardent of audiophiles. It has also provided a welcoming atmosphere to people wanting to just learn more about the industry. Electronic Depot is owned by Graham Lundy and his wife Micki.

A less “onerous” commercial parking lot bylaw will hopefully lead to more buy-in from private owners who mostly have been failing to pay for operating licences, say Niagara Falls city officials. City council last week approved an amendment to a bylaw requiring parking lot owners obtain licences to operate and adhere to certain requirements. The municipality identified 43 lots throughout the city — and only three were licensed.

What local marathoner Kristian Jamieson has accomplished to start his long-distance running career has been “incredible,” says Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati. “This young man is really quite remarkable, the things that he’s been doing and that he is currently involved in,” Diodati said while recognizing the 23-year-old University of Western Ontario dental student during last week’s council meeting. Jamieson was raised in Niagara Falls.
