Vault fundraiser surpasses goal

PERHAM — The Vault gymnastics program in Perham recently hosted a fundraiser at Spanky’s Stone Hearth in rural Frazee. Dawn Duncan, a Vault board member, reported that the fundraiser brought in about $18,000, which exceeded the event’s goal by $500. “Funds raised will be used to update and purchase equipment, as well as expand programs, mainly the toddler division, which starts at 18 months old,” Duncan said.

PERHAM — A new era of Perham boys tennis dawned as first-year head coach Nick Stokke made his debut with the Yellowjackets, welcoming Sauk Rapids-Rice to town for its season opener on Thursday, April 10. The chilly weather conditions affected both teams, but the Storm warmed up on the road to defeat the Yellowjackets 6-1 to blemish Stokke’s coaching debut. “I thought we played well and I’m very proud of the guys,” Stokke said.
