    Thousands of people have turned out to demonstrate in London and across the UK this weekend to defend the rights of transgender people. Earlier this week, the UK’s Supreme Court handed down a ruling in a case brought by trans-exclusionary group For Women Scotland against the Scottish government. The court ruled that for the purposes of the UK’s Equality Act legislation, the legal definition of a woman excludes trans women and the protected characteristic of “sex” refers to biology.

He opened the pub last May on Montague Road, as an inclusive space for the LGBTQIA+ community on the south side, hosting social events, live music, drag nights and more. In just a few weeks, the venue on Brisbane’s southside will celebrate its first birthday with a special party on Saturday, May 3.
