Reader's Digest (U.S.)

Reader's Digest is a popular American family magazine that comes out once a month. However, from 2010 to 2012, it was published only ten times a year. Originally based in Chappaqua, New York, the magazine now operates from New York City. Founded in 1922 by DeWitt Wallace and Lila Bell Wallace, Reader's Digest was once the top-selling consumer magazine in the U.S. until it was surpassed by Better Homes and Gardens in 2009. According to Mediamark Research, the magazine has a larger readership with household incomes over $100,000 than Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and Inc. combined.

A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away—OK, fine, cineplexes across the country circa the summer of 1987—a comedy movie called Spaceballs made audiences of all ages laugh themselves silly. Co-writer and director Mel Brooks, who had already parodied Westerns in Blazing Saddles and horror in the comedy classic Young Frankenstein, took aim at the earnest Star Wars saga and gave us a memorable array of sidesplitting Spaceballs quotes that still hold up. The plot?

I love Aldi. Like, LOVE it. One of my biggest heartbreaks about moving away from the Midwest was losing my near-daily access to this glorious grocery unicorn. Back in Minnesota, it felt like there was an Aldi on every corner. But here in Colorado? Nada. Zilch. Not even one. I miss it so much that when I go back to visit family, I literally leave space in my car so I can stock up on my Aldi favorites. Do I have priorities? Yes. Are they mainly chocolate-focused? Also yes.
